FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

Absolutely. The challenge is designed especially for complete beginners. No prior knowledge of any kind is needed – only curiosity.

No. The challenge is offered separately for men and women, usually on different dates. This allows everyone to feel safe and undistracted.

Simple, shared accommodation (monastic style) at the Albert Park temple or Krishna Valley farm (depending on season). Shared bathrooms, basic but clean and comfortable.

The schedule is full and immersive. Leaving mid‑week is discouraged, as it breaks the rhythm for both the individual and the group. There are short rest breaks each day to check messages if needed.

Comfortable, modest clothing (no shorts above the knee, no sleeveless tops), toiletries, a water bottle, a notebook, and an open mind. Everything else – meals, bedding, towels, chanting beads – is provided.

All meals are vegetarian (many vegan options). Please inform us of any allergies or severe restrictions when registering. We may not be able to accommodate all special diets, so check in advance.

Participants must be at least 18. The course is best suited for adults up to about 55, as the schedule can be physically and mentally intense. For older participants or those with health concerns, please contact us for alternative offerings.

Graduates are invited to join ongoing community groups, mentorship, and follow‑up gatherings. The aim is not to “become a monk” permanently, but to carry the best parts of the week into everyday life.

Meditation Background

Plain living and high thinking that is the ideal life. You don't need to imitate the monk, but you can adopt the principles.
