Feast
He called it the
"Love Feast."
The Sunday Feast began in 1965, in a small storefront in New York's Lower East Side. Srila Prabhupada would personally invite neighbours, cook the entire meal, and serve it with his own hands — chanting, dancing and speaking from the Bhagavad-gita. Strangers became friends over warm plates of vegetarian food.
Decades later, every Sunday, in hundreds of temples around the world, that same love is served. The intention never changed: a free, nourishing meal in an atmosphere of warmth — no strings, no belief required.
